Various recommendations related to plugin extensions for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Our music videos section include some hilarious (but informative) musical commentary by the likes of Rhett & Link.

We hope you will enjoy your stay with is.

Regards,

The following plugin extensions are for use with Google Chrome:

» DOWNLOADS allows you to access the downloads window directly from the toolbar.

» PRINT the current page you see.

» BITDEFENDER QUICKSCAN scans your computer for active malware.

» GOOGLE MAIL CHECKER displays the number of unread messages in your Google Mail inbox. You can also click the button to open your inbox.

» SEARCHPREVIEW FOR GOOGLE adds preview images (thumbnails) to your Google search results.

» Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer automatically previews PDFs, powerpoint presentations, and other documents in Google Docs Viewer.

» AUTOPEN enables you to create html email signatures for Gmail and Google Apps. It has a full rich text editor that makes creating html signatures easy but still allows you to drop into the html source for more power. Create as many signatures as you want and associate them with from addresses to set up multiple defaults.

» AUTOPAGERIZE auto-extends paginated web pages, including web logs from Blogger, as well as Google and YouTube search.

» EXTENSIONFM turns the entire web into your personal music library. As you browse, ExtensionFM runs in the background indexing every MP3 file you come across, building a music library for you. ExtensionFM will continue to check the sites you've visited, adding new music for you to listen to every day. Works wonders with Dilandau and LastFM.

» MULTI GOOGLE NEWS offers news feeds from Google News using multiple tabs, multiple languages, and personalized topics.

» STUMBLEUPON helps you discover great websites that match your interests. Simply click the Stumble button and see the best websites. There are over 500 topics to choose from, and, the more you use it, the better your recommendations become!

We no longer recommend ...

» XMARKS BOOKMARK SYNC to backup and sync your bookmarks across computers and browsers. Available for Firefox, Safari and IE.

NOTE: Since Chrome now sports an integrated Sync feature, we suggest you rather make use of the same.

» SPEED DIAL replaces Chrome's new tab with your predefined visual bookmarks. Set the number of dials in the page, select your desired theme and background image,
and now use site logos as your speed dials.

NOTE: Since Speed Dial does not offer an automated online backup feature, we suggest you rather make use of a webware solution like Awesome Start, FavIt, Genieo, GloTouch, iGoogle, MyFav, Republics, StacksOn, Symbaloo, Transferr, Favetop, GetWapps or Gpanion.

* The client should provide their own photographic and video content.

It is a well-known fact that by allowing visitors to submit blog posts to their Social Network of choice, attracts more visitors. Unfortunately, Blogger does not offer this feature by default. So I compiled a script which does exactly that.

Go to "Layout" -> "Edit HTML" -> "Expand Widget Templates" and then find the following section in your template:

<div class='post-body entry-content'> <p>
<data:post.body/> </p> <div style='clear: both;'/>
<!-- clear for photos floats --> </div>

Then add the following just below it:

I am sure many of you ran into the following error-codes - BX-IGWYLP, BX-MRKFXFETC or BX-XYKW2L - while attempting to install custom XML Blogger templates. So I recently set up a Sandbox to resolve this issue, once and for all. After installing more than 300 custom templates, this is what I found:

Most of the time, the problem is not with the new template, but with the current template. Let me explain.

Every time you attempt to install a new template, the template manager will ask you to CONFIRM whether particular widgets relating to your previous template should be deleted.

Widgets from the above-example, include Followers1, HTML3, HTML2 and AdSense1. This is correct, and installation should be flawless. However, from time to time you will notice the following:

Widgets from the above-example, include HTML1, HTML2, HTML3, HTML4, and another HTML2, HTML3, and HTML4. This is wrong, and the installation will fail.

It seems like some template developers manage to get their wires cross, duplicating widgets. Templates that cause this problem include the following:

• Blogohblog by Jackbook
• Blue Blog by Zona Cerebral
• Brooklyn by Our Blog Templates
• Shiny by Our Blog Templates

I will see what I can do to fix these issues, and forward the updated templates to their respective authors.

Solution

1. Go to the LAYOUT TAB and select PAGE ELEMENTS.
2. Now EDIT and REMOVE every page element one by one.
3. Click on the POSTING TAB.
4. Go back to the LAYOUT TAB and select EDIT HTML.
5. Now attempt your installation.

The following FTP clients can be used directly within your web browser:

- NET2FTP is a web based FTP client.

- UNLIMITED FTP ONLINE (recommended) is a web based FTP client. It's fast, it's easy to use and it works everywhere! It works in your web browser and stores all your configuration settings so you no longer need to install other FTP software. You can access your FTP sites from multiple locations, at work, school, or home without ever losing your settings. Businesses can let their customers use this service to access their FTP site to transfer files. We also provide FTP hosting solutions to meet your needs. UnlimitedFTP Online is your complete web based FTP solution.

- WEB-BASED FTP Once you have logged in, you can browse from directory to directory and see all the subdirectories and files. There are 3 different ways to upload files: the standard upload form, the upload-and-unzip functionality, and the Java Applet. Once you have logged in, you can browse from directory to directory and see all the subdirectories and files. Click on a filename to quickly download one file. Select multiple files and click on Download; the selected files will be downloaded in a zip archive ... and save the zip archive on the FTP server, or email it to someone. Different formats are supported: .zip, .tar, .tgz and .gz. Choose from a list of popular applications (PHP required). Directories are handled recursively, meaning that their content (subdirectories and files) will also be copied, moved or deleted. Handy to import files to your FTP server, or to export files from your FTP server to another FTP server. Chmod handles directories recursively. PHP functions are linked to the documentation on php.net. Edit text right from your browser; every time you save the changes the new file is transferred to the FTP server. Edit HTML a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) form; there are 2 different editors to choose from. Edit HTML and PHP in an editor with syntax highlighting. Filter out files based on the filename, last modification time and filesize. Calculate the size of directories and files.

- XFTP is a free FTP client which can be used from anywhere entirely on the web. There is no installing any software. No firewalls to get round. It just works! Safely and securely through your browser! Even better you can edit your files directly through xFTP. Open the file, make your changes and save - all without downloading the file!

The following plugin extensions are for use with Mozilla Firefox:

- ALL-IN-ONE SIDEBAR lets you open various windows as sidebar panels, and quickly switch between them. So it put an end to the window chaos! In addition to bookmarks and history it opens dialogues such as downloads, add-ons and more in the sidebar.

Yes, you guessed it, they are on Facebook!

FACEBOOK is a social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. ^[1] Since September 2006, anyone over the age of 13 with a valid e-mail address can become a Facebook user. Facebook's target audience is more for youths than adults. ^[1] Users can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by workplace, school, or college. The website's name stems from the colloquial name of books given to students at the start of the academic year by university administrations in the US with the intention of helping students to get to know each other better. ^[1]

EMPLOYMENT

Employers and Companies (such as Virgin Airlines) have also used Facebook as a means to keep tabs on their employees and have even been known to fire them over posts they've made. ^[1]

LEGISLATION

Serving Legal Notices

In December 2008, the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory ruled that Facebook is a valid protocol to serve court notices to defendants. It is believed to be the world's first legal judgement that defines a summons posted on Facebook as legally binding. ^[1|4]

In March 2009, the New Zealand High Court associate justice David Glendall allowed for the serving of legal papers on Craig Axe by the company Axe Market Garden via Facebook. ^[1]

POPULARITY

Facebook has more than 400 million active users, of which more than 50% login daily, where they spend more than 500 billion minutes per month. The average user has 130 friends. ^[5]

Addiction

Facebook addiction have become a serious problem. Fortunately there is a solution - "facebook suicide" ^[3] (the closing down of a facebook account). "Facebook suicide is the leading cause of deleted accounts in all of social networking". ^[3]
